The Clandon Society

The Clandon Society is a local amenity group with a membership of over 300 households in the two villages.

The society aims to encourage high standards of architecture and village planning, the preservation of the history of the Clandons, and the protection and improvement of amenities including footpaths and other rights of way. Open spaces, listed buildings, mediaeval cottages, traffic problems and the upkeep of the conservation areas all fall within its overall view of the two villages.

The Society keeps a close watch on Planning Applications, will notify members directly affected and make representations to Planning Authorities where appropriate. It cooperates with the Parish Council in carrying out its functions.
