Clandon Pottery
Clandon Pottery at Cherry Cottage, Back Lane is a craft studio pottery set
up by Terri Smart in 1994.
She makes an extensive variety of animals, birds and fish as smaller gifts, some thrown domestic ware but in recent years her primary work is sculptural pieces of fruits, seeds and people for garden or indoor display. She welcomes commissions, participates in various artists
exhibitions and is an active member of several art societies in the area. For more, visit www.terrismart.co.uk which includes galleries of some of her work. She is always happy to show villagers around the pottery by appointment. Call 222710. |

The highlight of the year is Surrey Artists Open Studios in June, when artists all over Surrey open their studios to the public. As part of this, Terri sets up an exhibition in the garage at Cherry Cottage with fellow villager and textile artist, Iona Mackenzie Laycock. Visitors to the studio can see work in progress, buy work and wander through the meadow where a sculpture trail of her larger pieces nestle among the tall grasses.
